Help
How can we help?
Clear answers for people looking for a product and for pharmacies: how the search works, how reliable the data is, how to take part.
How it works
- SearchA product, a category or just the area.
- CompareDistance, price, availability and date of the update.
- GoDirections to the vending machine, even when the pharmacy is closed.
Search and compare
Find a product or a vending machine near you.
What is FarmyPoint?
A free service to find pharmacies with a vending machine near you and the non-medicinal products they hold, with price and availability stated by the pharmacies. It is most useful when the pharmacy is closed.
How do I search for a product?
Type the product or choose a category, then a town, a postcode or “Near me”. Results are sorted by distance, in a list and on the map.
Can I search for vending machines only, without a product?
Yes. Enter a town or postcode, or tap “Near me”, without typing a product: you see the pharmacies and vending machines in the area. With “Vending machine only” you keep the places where a machine has been reported by users or confirmed by the pharmacy.
How do filters and sorting work?
You can show only 24/7 machines, those accepting cards, with pick-up of pre-booked orders or with a phone number. Besides distance you can sort by best price, most recent data or reliability. Filters only consider what the pharmacy has declared.
Why can't I find a medicine?
Medicines, including over-the-counter ones, cannot be sold from vending machines. For a medicine go to a pharmacy or, outside opening hours, to the pharmacy on duty.
Does the vending machine work when the pharmacy is closed?
Usually yes: that is what it is for. The page shows whether the pharmacy has declared it available 24/7 and, when given, the opening hours. If the machine is not confirmed by the pharmacy, check on site.
I can't find the product in my area: what can I do?
Widen the search radius or try a more general name (for example “plasters” instead of the brand). If it is still missing, let us know through the contact form: searches without results help local pharmacies understand what to add.
Prices, availability and data
How reliable the information is and where it comes from.
Will the product really be available?
Price and availability are stated by the pharmacy, with the date of the last update. They are not real-time: check the date and, if you can, call first.
What does the date next to the product mean?
It is the last time the pharmacy confirmed price and availability: today, yesterday, in the last 7 or 30 days, or “to be checked” if longer ago. After 90 days without confirmation the product is no longer shown.
What do “confirmed”, “reported” and “not verified” vending machine mean?
“Confirmed”: declared by the pharmacy, verified by FarmyPoint. “Reported”: indicated by other users in the last 6 months, with a report accepted by a moderator. “Not verified”: the pharmacy is in the Ministry’s public data, but we do not know whether it has a vending machine.
Is the price shown the one I will pay?
It is the price declared by the pharmacy and is not guaranteed: the price shown on the machine applies. FarmyPoint sells nothing and handles no payments, and no pharmacy can pay to rank higher.
Why doesn't a pharmacy appear on the map?
For some pharmacies the Ministry gives the town centre as the location instead of the address. You find them in the list with “approximate location”, but not on the map or in searches by distance, until the location is corrected.
Where does the data come from?
Pharmacies and parapharmacies come from the open data of the Italian Ministry of Health; products, prices and availability from the pharmacies. Maps are from OpenStreetMap.
Phone, favourites and privacy
Use FarmyPoint on your phone, even offline and without an account.
Do I need an account?
No. You need no account to search, save favourites or send a report. Accounts are only for pharmacies managing their own page.
Do I have to share my location?
No. You can always search by town or postcode. If you use “Near me”, your location is used only for the search, rounded to about 100 metres, and is not stored.
How do favourites work?
Tap “Save” on a product or a vending machine: you find it in “Favourites”, even offline. With “Notify me of changes”, opening your favourites shows what has changed. They stay on this device only: FarmyPoint does not receive them.
Can I install FarmyPoint on my phone?
Yes: from the browser menu choose “Add to Home screen” (Chrome on Android) or, in Safari on iPhone, tap Share and then “Add to Home Screen”. Pages you have already visited open even without a connection.
Which languages is it available in?
Italian, English, French and German: choose the language at the top of the page. The site also follows your phone’s light or dark theme.
Report and contribute
Help the next person searching: every report is checked.
I found a mistake: what should I do?
Open the pharmacy’s page and tap “Report”: you can say that the vending machine is there, that it is not, that it is broken, or that the name, address or location is wrong. We check every report before changing the data.
I saw a vending machine that is not on FarmyPoint
Use “I saw a vending machine” (at the bottom of every page): from your phone you send the location and pharmacy and, if you like, a photo. It takes a few seconds and after our check the machine appears as “reported”.
The vending machine is broken: should I report it?
Yes: from “Report” on the page choose “The vending machine is out of order”. If the pharmacy has already reported the fault, the page shows “out of service until …”.
Are reports anonymous?
We do not ask for your name or email. Of the IP address we keep only a non-reversible code, to limit abuse. For “I saw a vending machine” we also keep the location and the photo, if you send one, for a limited time. Details in the notes on the data.
Pharmacies: getting started
Register your pharmacy, get verified and appear in searches.
I have a pharmacy with a vending machine: how do I join FarmyPoint?
On the “For pharmacies” page tap “Register your pharmacy” and choose it from the Ministry list, by VAT number or by town. After verification you confirm the vending machine and add your products: it only takes a few minutes.
My pharmacy is already on FarmyPoint: why?
Pharmacies and parapharmacies come from the open data of the Italian Ministry of Health. By registering you claim the page and manage it yourself.
How do you check that I really am the pharmacy?
Before publishing any data we check that you are entitled to manage the pharmacy. Choose the most convenient method among those offered, for example a phone call to the pharmacy’s public number, a code sent to its certified email (PEC) or documents.
Is it free?
Yes, FarmyPoint is free for pharmacies: registration, page, products and statistics are included.
How much time does it take?
A few minutes to register. Then you update only when something changes; if nothing changes, one click on “Everything is up to date” at least every 30 days is enough.
Can I list medicines?
No. Medicines are not allowed in vending machines, not even over-the-counter ones, and FarmyPoint does not list them. The catalogue only includes products that can be sold from vending machines.
Pharmacies: managing your page
Products, updates, staff, statistics and sign-in.
Do I have to update products every day?
No. You update when something changes; if nothing changes, one click on “Everything is up to date” at least every 30 days is enough. Products not reconfirmed for more than 90 days are not shown.
Can I upload products from my management software?
Yes, if it exports a file (CSV, text or Excel): upload it by hand, with a row-by-row preview, or send it automatically with the ready-made script. Developers can use the API, with your revocable consent.
The vending machine is broken or closed for a few days: what should I do?
In your area, under “Vending machine”, say until when: the site shows “out of service until …” and nobody makes a wasted trip.
Can a staff member manage the page?
Yes: everyone registers with their own account, stating whether they are the owner or staff, and is verified. You can also manage several pharmacies from the same account.
What do the statistics show?
How many times people found you in searches, opened your page, asked for directions or tapped your phone number, anonymously: you see how many times, not who. You also see products searched for in your town without results, to understand what is worth adding.
I forgot my password: what should I do?
Use “Forgot password” on the sign-in page, if available: we will send you a link valid for 30 minutes to choose a new one. Otherwise contact us: after a check we will give you a temporary password (by phone or, if you ask, by email), to be changed at the first login.
What if I want to stop?
Write to us: we remove your products from the site and the page goes back to the Ministry’s public data only.
